Labor and Delivery until 3am

Well, I am officially on maternity leave. Ha! I went in to the hospital again yesterday with contractions. They started me on an IV and administered the Brethine every 20 minutes until the contractions stopped. She also placed me on partial bed rest. She said I can get up around the house, but I am prohibited from going into work. I really shouldn't have gone in yesterday and just stayed home and rested. Anyway, I won't be in anymore until next school year. The contractions did stop and they sent me home at 3 in the morning. Ahhhh!! Hopefully this works...they gave me pills to take, so I should be good to go. With all these contractions though, they haven't done a thing to my cervix. It is still not dilated and quite thick she said.

Baby is great. She was having a dancing party yesterday and hates being hooked up to the monitor. She doesn't even know there is anything wrong. Ha! Anyway I'm off to bed....hope you other ladies had a better night then me.

I asked the same thing! She said they will try and keep them stopped until 35/36 weeks...once there, she said they will let nature run it's course and since the baby will be fine to come out, they will see what happens. Hopefully the contractions just stop on their own and do not come back until 37 weeks....that's what I'm hoping for. But it never works that way, does it? Ha!

Yeah because it sounds like your body and baby are ready to go!!

At least you know what to expect, hopefully you'll not keep having these contractions and just go into labour when your past the 35 week mark, Ive got my fingers crossed for you!!

Get some sleep and plenty of rest

You poor thing, twice in a week.

I'm pleased they've kept you off work though.

Hope everything goes smoothly from now on

Well it is good news that your LO is good, and that your cervix is not doing anything. Hopefully chilling at home will be just the ticket!

I hope that the LO stays nice and warm inside a little longer. Take it easy, but enjoy your maternity leave, while you can!
