Hi im in the UK and was just wondering if this is normal.

My Midwife and Dr have never weighed me ever! not even when i was first pregnant.
Is this normal or should they be keeping a check on me?

I know that i have put on about 2 stone 2lbs / 30lbs but they have never asked.
Should i be worried?

I don't think so. They weighed me at my first appointment but never again since then. I guess everyone puts on such different amounts of weight that there's not much point in checking it. http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/articles...articleId=2311 talks about weight gain in pregnancy but I think it's best just not to think about it, as long as you're healthy!

I have been weighed a few times myself and am also in the UK so I would have thought you should have been weighed already. xXx

Here they weigh us every appointment to check up on our weight gain. I think it's a bit odd that they don't weigh you guys

Ive not been weighed yet (also in the UK). At my first appointment my MW asked my weight, but didnt actually weigh me, and said she would be weighing me at later appointments to see how much I had put on, but she never has! Ive put on just under 2 stone, not sure if she will weigh me now or not, Ive got to go for a growth scan as the baby is measuring big, so maybe its not necessary now.

I was only weighed on my first appointment and not since either (also UK)

yep, same here. that is actually the first thing they do. send you on the damn scale.

Think im going to be scientific and weigh myself before and after birth just to see exactly how much i have put on is down to the pregnancy and how much is down to me giving up smoking early on and being a pig!
