I'll try to help if I can.

When labour starts, the cervix begins to move from a posterior (towards the back) position to an anterior (towards the front) one.

"Non-central" could mean it's still posterior (i.e. it hasn't yet aligned to allow the baby to descend yet) or it could just refer to the fact many ladies have a cervix that, pregnant or not, are over to one side or the other rather than being centred on your midline.

The cervix begins to soften and become thinner (effacement) in early labour - so yours being soft is a good sign

Admitting "2 fingertips" is also a good sign - the cervix will go from tightly closed (not always, particularly if you've had more than one vaginal birth or have an incompetent cervix (awful phrase and often over-diagnosed condition)) to dilating open. That yours admits fingertips means you're no longer tightly closed

None of the above is any guarantee you'll go into labour naturally, but it's looking good nonetheless!

No problem chick

Now, go eat that pineapple, walk up and down the stairs and (my friend's 'foolproof' trick) book a bunch of appointments this week so you go into labour and have to miss them
