17 Hours of Labor

Yep..that's what I did on Saturday. Woke up at 5am-ish and was having horrible pains, so I called my OB and she said it sounded like Peanut was trying to find her way out already! The contractions got to be down to 5 minutes apart at the lowest and hurt SO BADLY. My Mom came and stayed with me since DH had fire school all weekend. OB said that unless they started coming closer or I had my show or the water broke there wasn't much she could do (sounds weird to me) so I was made to stay in bed all day...on my left side (hip is now bruised). Thankfully she didn't come out I'm kinda worried the doc didn't do or say more though..I'm only 28 weeks and she said that it wasn't BH. Wouldn't she want to see me..or did she just not want to ruin her Saturday (it was BEAUTIFUL outside). Sunday I was MUCH better as it ended early in the AM, but I still felt like a truck had hit me. Sheesh, I'm glad that's over with!

So sorry you had to go through that. I hope your LO stays put for several weeks longer! Can't believe your OB, I'd have been very put off by her behavior.

Glad to hear it stopped. I think your OB is being a bit blase about the whole thing.

Wow! That must have been a crazy day for you. I can't believe your doctor wasn't more caring.. you'd think she'd have you run down to the hospital ASAP. I'm glad to hear your LO decided to stay in

Thanks girls. Yea..I thought she was a little un-caring about it. I think if I do end up PG again we'll be finding a new doctor. I'm so glad she decided to stay in me though. Today Peanuts been stretching out like she was all cramped up all weekend, LOL...guess she was technically!

OMG i hope you are ok! Make sure you still take it easy and stuff.
Can you get a 2nd opinion?just to make sure? (not sure how the healthcare is over there)
You're a little further on than me and i couldnt even imagine what you would have been going through physically and mentally!! you are so brave
Make sure your mum and other half are looking after you well and dont do anything that can wait.
Keep us updated xxxxx
