Thanks for the advise ladies.. The doc gave me a box of spartone and Im going to start taking them tonight after my dinner with a glass of juice!!

Your doc gave you a box?? I have to buy my own - the only thing the dr has offered me is stinky iron injections direct into my muscle (which I'm not sure I wanna take him up on!)... I have to go see a consultant who's going to try and talk me into that one.

Yeah gave me a prescription for a box and I don't have to pay for my prescrptions while im pregnant..

Isn't that the same for you?

Nope I just got advised by my midwife that I could buy them from health food stores - Docs won't prescribe anything other than iron tablets for me - which are no good because a) I know from the past that they cause me all manner of tummy problems, and b) they don't make them without gelatine in, which sucks because I'm a vegetarian. They want to give me iron injections into the muscle now but I've googled it and am not at all sure it's something I want to go ahead with...

Im confused I thought all pregnant women got the maternity exemption card.. Mine runs out in 2009 then I'll have to pay again like before.. Oh hang on, are you in the UK?

Yup I'm in the UK and I get free prescriptions - but my dr won't prescribe me spartone - All I can get on prescription is iron tablets
