I was 9 days over and sooooooooooo glad I wasn't induced!!!!!!

I had my 1st on my due date & my 2nd 6 days late. I would hate to be induced as I have heard it is a lot more painful that way!!

Not sure what the ins and outs of the term toxemia is as they must call it something different in the uk. They say that one of the risks of going over term is that your placenta "could" stop working and feeding the baby efficiently so im guessing thats similar. The monitoring should pick that up though.

Yeah Ive read that you can turn down being induced but they monitor how well the placenta is working every couple of days to make sure you or the baby aren't at risk.

As you say, I don't see the point in them doing it as long as mum and baby are healthy, and I think Im going to turn it down unless they tell me something is wrong. It's the last thing I want to happen.
