I'm Currently Feeling: | I would just think that the baby moving might make you smaller. I know on some days I'm a lot smaller and my tummy is much softer based on where the baby is. Did you call the mid wife after you used the pad? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I called the midwife and she said to keep an eye on it... I'll definately ask the midwife at my next antenatal if they can check me over just to make sure everything is fine and as it should be.
I measured myself just now and I'm only 43" around my biggest part - When I last measured myself (about 2 or 3 weeks ago) it was 50!! So I definately have shrunk... just not sure why :S |

I'm Currently Feeling: | No, it wasn't until after I'd spoken to her that I suddenly got the geneous idea of measuring it
I'll definately be mentioning it on Thursday because I've been quite worried about it - I feel like I'm only 20 weeks pregnant again! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks girls. Been to hospital today; My fundal height is still only 34cm, which it was at 33 weeks (now 37 weeks).... The midwife was worried that I might be loosing amniotic fluid or baby might not be growing properly, so they monitered the heartbeat for half an hour (all fine there) and they did a spectulum test to check everything was okay there - there was some pooling in the spectulum but the MW thought it looked like normal vaginal discharge so she took a swab and sent it off to be sure, but it's looking positive that I don't have to worry about my membrains being ruptured.... The midwife was still worried about the size of my uterus so she sent me for a scan - couldn't see the face because it's head was too low down in my cervix, but it was still quite nice and reassuring to see baby again. The baby measures about right and there is enough amniotic fluid floating around in there (thank god!!) so the smallness is just one of those pregnancy mysteries I guess The dr thought that baby could be back-to-back and that might explain why there's not much of a bump on the front... One thing that they didn't explain is something that I just read on the scan notes, which says "There is an echogenic area in the stomach. This may represent swallowed clot from a previous bleed" Anyone got any idea what that means?? I'm feeling much better today, though - was very releaving to hear baby has a strong and "happy" heartbeat and to see baby on the ultrasound... The bubba's the right size, though so all seems to be worry for nothing Best to have it all checked out, though I guess |
