Do you still go out to do grocery shopping/errands on your own?

I absolutely hate staying at home all day alone and being useless.
I am in so much pain (pelvis, legs, knees, swollen ankles after walking),
but I feel like I have accomplished something if I go out by myself.

The thing is that I don't know if I should be a daredevil at this point and go out by myself.

I go out by myself - hadn't really occured to me that I maybe shouldn't

Just don't do anythin silly like go for a 7 mile walk and wear yourself out trying to do a gazillian tasks at once - make sure you take things easy, keep well hydrated and sit down and rest whenever you need to.

You'll be fine

Thanks Tasha, that's what I figured too. It takes me forever to walk from one store to the next, but walking is better than sitting at home.

Oh absolutely - as long as you're taking it sensibly, a little walk each day is the best way to keep in shape at this point (imo). Also they reckon that walking can help baby to push downwards and get in the right position for / help kickstart labour (bonus!).

You shouldn't be trying to get lots of heavy exercise at this point but I'd definately reccomend trying to stay mobile for as long as possible - the fitter you can keep in pregnancy the better (for an easier labour and a faster recovery after the birth) As well as getting unfit, if you spend most of your time sat down you increase your risk of DVT... I'd reccomend a small walk a day if you can manage it

Just, don't overdo it.

I may be a few weeks out of this thread, but my time is coming. I am going to stay as active as I can till I go into labor. It will be better for us both. I am walking, and swimming and going to yoga. I will still run errands as well. It may take me a bit longer, and may take longer for me to recover, but I am determined. I am really annoyed with my Dad right now. I asked him to come help us replace the laminated flooring in our home, and he ahs agreed. BUT he won't let me help what do ever. Seriously, I am just pregnant, not broken. I was planning on helping sort the new planks out for the instalation. We used this flooring in my shop, there are lots of planks that have already been cut down. I was going to sort them by length, so it would make the instalation faster. He has ordered me to go shopping.

I try to go out as much as possible... But I don't drive so I never go to the grocery store by myself! I do sometimes when I know I don't have lots of things to buy though. I like going shopping once in a while, but get tired of walking very quickly (pelvis pain, back pain, swollen feet, the whole package)

I miss my morning jogging & playing tennis so much... I use to be very active, but now I'm proud of myself if I walk for more than 30 minutes.

Can't wait to be able to feel good after an intense tennis game or a sweaty jogging.

Spend Monday to Friday on my own . Have 3 other children 9,6 and 20 months so if I don't do it itdoesn't get done! Think if I stopped I would grind to a halt. I take things at a slow waddle pace.
