Any one else suffered from this? My first daughters delivery went ok but with my next 2 children the placenta failed to deliver and i had to have it manually removed in theatre. Just feeling really anxious that this may happen again and wondered if any one had gone through the same thing????

Guess not then? lol will have a chat to my midwife nest time i see her to see if if there are any things i can do to try a prevent it happening for a third time...

I've had it with both of mine, With my first i had a manual removal pretty much straight after as they noticed the bleeding.
With my 2nd, they were expecting it to happen but didn't tell me. I bled VERY badly after and they pumped me with drugs to stop the bleeding and i was told my placenta was full.
6 days after discharge from teh hospital the community midwife noticed i was in alot of pain on examination of my womb. Docs said it was a uterine infection.

exactly 2 weeks after delivery, i had a major heamorrage and after being scanned they found almost half my placenta left in me!!! Had to under go another manual removal, my BP dropped seriously after, i passed out and i am never doing it again. Never ever!

The odds of having it more than once is very low and the odds of it happening after 10 days post delivery are even less.

Hope it goes ok for you hun, but they do say after you've had it once you will always have it.
