Red face

blonde description of braxton hicks please?!

Hi i read in a magazine the other day that you can experience braxton hicks from around 27 weeks onwards this kinda shocked me cos i thought that wasnt until much later
Well ive just got to that stage and i cant find a great definition of them anywhere and would really like a description of them but in basic blonde terms so im not missing anything here

For about 2 weeks now i sometimes get what i call like a tight stitch really high up near my bottom rib but always just on my right side of ribs. i also get pain round my back on that side directly through me when the rib hurts. Now im wondering could this be them? or maybe just aches and pains and i havn't had any yet.

What part/area of the tummy do you all get your BH's in and what do they feel like for you?

It tends to feel like a tightening around your belly and stomach will go slightly hard
Hope that helped

Not everyone gets BH. I only had a few so far, and probably in the last 2 weeks.

Yah blonde question I am so good at them lol

The best I can describe it if you clench your tummy really tight it will give you an idea I never had really painful ones!!

exactly.

My entire bump hardens, some women loose their breath a little, there's some discomfort, but shouldn't really be any cramping pain. They last about 30 seconds, maybe a little longer and they usually go away by drinking water and lying down for a bit.

i didnt realise i was having them until a few days ago when i told my mom about my tummy going tight and she was like i think they are braxton hicks and now ive realised they are. they dont hurt at all and i have to put my hand on my tummy to feel if it is hard just to double check that what im feeling is a braxton hicks as i dont find them very noticable at all. mine feel like my tummy is gradually getting tighter, stays like it for about 20 seconds then relaxes again but im guessing everyone has dif experiences with them.

Well I've been getting them since 20 weeks, god knows why.
I hate getting them when my bladder is the least bit full, cause it makes me need to rush to the toilet. xx

I started getting them at the beginning of week 18!! I seem to be experiencing everything early and this is my first!! Only had 4 so far two when I woke up (I described them as a pregnant woman's morning glory!) One during the day and one after orgasm they lasted about 20 seconds and just felt different, not painful, it's hard to explain really! But when you touch your tummy it is rock hard, I thought I had swallowed a football the first time I woke up with one!!!

I guess I started getting them at 23-24 weeks, and I get them all the time. Especially if I am walking. My bump gets hard, and it feels like a band of pressure across the bottom of it. Doesn't hurt, but it is definalty a strange feeling. I have also noticed some are more intense than others.
