As some of you know oxsarahxo sadly lost her baby girl Jessica Charlotte Reay hours after giving birth. We are arranging a star to be named after Jessica and a lantern for her resting place from all of us. We also thought it would be nice to make a contribution to Sarah & Matt so they can use it towards flower arrangements, head stone or resting place arrangements. If you would like to contibute please PM me for details. I'm Currently Feeling: | Stupid 35 week appointment (warning-long rant) So yeah, I had an appintment this morning and I couldn't sleep at all last night because I was thinking about the 2 swabs that were waiting for me.
When the nurse measured my BP it was 142/90 because I was SO scared, but I showed her my BP log card which shows my normal BP twice a week and she said that was great and she said- no reason for concern.
The doctor that I see ALWAYS has students with her, so I asked the nurse if I can only be with the Dr. when she does the swabs...I don't mind the student being there at other times. But the nurse decided to tell the dr that I prefer to be examined without the student for the entire time, which I think kinda pissed off the doc, but whatever, I have my rights.
Luckily, there was no internal. weeee!! and the swab was quick and PAINLESS!!!!
I measured correctly for 35 weeks, baby sounded great (she didn't tell me the HR) and I gained 2 lbs in 2 weeks.
So, all in all, a good appointment, but I felt so damn rushed. There was no question: is anything bothering you? ...blah.
I guess I should be happy that everything is going great.
But I am still pissed off that I get 5 min appointments where you can't even express any concerns (my hip and pelvis pain was one of them).
I wish I could have stayed with my old doctor, she was such an angel. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Some doctors push you in and out of the appointment like an assembly line.
Sorry you felt rushed, but happy that all is well! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Sorry you felt rush ! That's the feeling I always get with my doctor. It's a great thing the swabs went well! One thing done, yay!
Now it always hurts when my doctor measures me, I guess it's because of the pelvic pain, it feels so sore...
Only 5 weeks to go !!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Gahh I would've been VERY frustrated. It's their job to ask us how we are and address our concerns. I know whenever I go I throw a million questions about awkward pains or aches at my doctor and she doesn't hesitate to answer them.
Glad to hear everything was great with baby's size and heartbeat. Told you the swab wasn't so bad Sorry to hear you had a bit of a rough appointment. I swear doctor's aren't passionate anymore. $$$$$ is what they want. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | It is wonderful news that all is going well. I think your Dr. is a bit of a shit to be so quick with your appointment. I think Drs sometimes forget there is an actuall person surrounding that baby that needs care as well. |
