Which hospital is best around Romford, Essex?

Hi, I have recently discovered i am pregnant, and after a doctors visit have been asked to decide which hospital I want to be referred to within the next two weeks.

I am however in a dilemma here, as obviously our hospitals have not been recieving very good press lately and there are a lot of horror stories! The options I have been given are either the Queens Hospital or Basildon Hospital. Can anybody give me any advice please?

Many Thanks

Sophie

Hi

My bro works in Queens maternity ward on admin side and says its fine...there seem to be horror stories but its minority.. I've also got several mates who have given birth there and had great experiences so don't worry!
Re Basildon thats where i'm having my bump (unless I go into labour round mums in which case i'll be getting bro to rush me in!!) and its fine everyones very friendly and seems generally like a good hospital!

Hope this helps
Lisa

Type in 'dr foster' into google. It's a website that allows you to compare hospitals etc near you in terms of maternity care- like c-section rates etc. It's really good to get an overall picture of the care x HTH

I've had both my babies at St johns Chelmsford, not sure how far that would be for you though, my sister lives in Romford and takes me about 20 mins straight down the A12. If you can have your baby there I'd fully recommend it. xxx
