You know, nature has an amazing way of 'preparing' us for what happens with childbearing and rearing.
We've come a long way since we first saw that BFP. But the nice part is, the changes came gradually and subtly. We didn't grow to our enormous size overnight. In fact, I'm sure many of you had posts on here wondering when you were gonna FINALLY LOOK PREGNANT... hahaha
We started loosing our sleep slowly but surely, and having to get up 3 million times a night to pee is another way I think nature prepares us for getting up to care for a newborn.
When baby comes, most of them sleep-all-the-time. They eat, sleep, poop, and sleep. As you start to recover from delivery, baby needs more attention. His body starts to adapt to life outside your womb and you've mastered the basics of his care, holding, bathing, diapering, etc.
Just with pregnancy problems and issues, they come with baby too, but somehow no matter how stressful they seem at the time, we get through them. We cry and worry and pray to God at times, but when we hear their little laugh, or see them look at us and our DH's with such utter adoration, it balances out the negative.
We watch them grow, and develop personalities, and we strive to encourage that development - along with showing boundries of morality, character, and culture... Living each day seperate from yesterday with new challenges and new issues, but chained together as family.
