Movements? Am I being paranoid?

Seth is usually really active first thing in the morning - usually from about 630 til 8 when I leave the house. The thing is, I have only felt him once this morning. I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid but I know it's not right for him to be so quiet. He's probably just being lazy though and I dont want to completely overreact and go to the docs until I'm sure he's not just asleep.

Am I far enough along to start counting movements? I'm 28 + 2.

Thanks

xxx

I'm sure he's having a lazy day. My little one sometimes does this as well. My doctor told me the best thing to do is find the time when you've got 2 hours to spare and lay down, read a book, enjoy some nice cold water, and count 6 movements in 2 hours.

Were you particularly busy between his regular hours? You know how our little ones don't like to disturb us while we move about. Also, I remember reading somewhere online about how their sleep patterns should be changing a bit soon.

He's started moving a bit now, Im not so worried about it... its very unusual that I wake up before him and it was a bit un nerving not to feel him at the usual times. At least he's ok, must have just wanted a lie in. I guess one of us has to! lol

Thanks for putting my mind at rest girls

The midwives always ask if I'm feeling about 10 movements a day. I think they mean 10 separate occassions.
My LO always moves at different times each day, I think it just depends what your doing at the time.
Glad you're feeling more at ease. xx

Linzi my LO did the same thing to me this week. Active like mad for the past week, then almost nothing one day, scared the crap out of me, but it is starting to be a little more active. I guess they have lazy days just like us.

Mine's always had a pattern of a couple of active days then one lazy day. On lazy days I'd lie on my back and prod, jiggle and shake him until he moves! He's not so lazy anymore but all babies are different

My Baby was having a lazy day yesterday too. I'd feel like one little tiny movement every couple of hours, also my belly was much softer than usual. When we got our 3D U/S done the tech told us that you feel the movements where they push on your uterus, so I figured Baby was towards my back more and not pushing so hard on my uterus. Needless to say, last night there was LOTS more activity!!
