Have You had the nuchal translucency test yet? where they measure the fluid at the back of babys neck.or are you just going straight for the amnio?
The nuchal should tell you what risk you are then you can decide on the amnio or not.

We didn't have any screenings either other than the typical anatomical U/S scan at 20 weeks.

I am over 40 and hubby has some dodgey chromosomes that affect some sperm, so we had an amnio. If I had been younger I don't think I would have done.

I'm Currently Feeling: 


I had a blood test, think it was around 16 weeksish, to say whether I was low or high risk for certain things, it came back low, so that was it.

I had a triple blood test to check the inital risk levels and as they were low no need for further testing

In my area you get bloods and nuchal testing as standard so thought i might even though it wouldnt sway my decision either way. It all came back low like1:99000
