We had our antenatal classes this weekend; four hours on sat and four on sunday. Was defo worth going and even my hubby, who really wasn't enthusiastic about going enjoyed it and he got really actively involved. He was asking loads of questions, making comments and he picked up the massaging techniques superbly
We had a tour of the labour ward and was shown the pool room and given a thorough explanation of where to come when we need to etc. I learned some things I never knew before and so I feel it was really worthwhile but i feel a little overwhelmed. There was so much to take in and some of it is conflicting to what i've read in my books and seen on here. I'm particularly struggling with breastfeeding. I'm so worried already and the lady leading the class said don't give up, perservere because it does get easier and you will get it, it may take two weeks, it may take four. But what if I don't produce enough? My MIL warned me that when my hubby was a baby he was feeding every hour and she had to supplement with formula. The midwife y'day leading the class said avoid doing this at all costs

But if my baby is hungry and there's not enough milk there what do you do? I read that the more you feed the more you produce so what about feeding him what he needs and expressing also in order to stimulate more and hopefully produce more? Would this work? It's mind-boggling and I feel like i'm going round in circles and still clueless about how it's all gonna work

Does anyone have a clear idea in their mind how they're gonna do it? xx
