I have a lot of back pain too, mostly in my really low lower back by my butt. I hope this doesnt mean Im going to have back labor!

I found it helps to either take a back and slouch down enough so that your belly is floating or to lean over onto the kitchen counter with my arms on the counter and my head on my arms and then spread my legs about shoulder width apart and just sway, and sway some more. That helps me! Try it, maybe it will help a little.

I've developed some pretty unbearable back pain. Baby is putting pressure on my sciatica nerve. The doctor prescribed medication but I'm trying to hold out as long as possible before taking it! I've found being on all four helps. Try to lean forward as much as possible to keep baby off your backside. Hope you feel better soon!!

Have you told your midwife or doctor how bad it is? I got referred to physiotherapy because my back pain was too unbearable, and they just gave me a 'femi-brace' that is just like an elasticated band that goes around your lower back and tummy, supporting the bump, pelvis and back - it really did the trick for me so I'd definately reccommend asking about it at your next antenatal.

hope you start to feel better soon x

Aqua I know exactly how you feel. It seems as though the last few days I've had debilitating back and pelvic pain and I'm seriously hoping this is the beginning of the end now.

The only thing I've found to help are deep massages, but even they only relieve pain very temporarily. Ask your hubby to massage your lower back with a lot of pressure, particularly with his thumbs. It hurts a bit because the pressure is so hard, but it really does counter the back pain... at least for a bit.

I'm crossing my fingers for us... thank goodness we don't have too much longer to go; I'm not sure how much more I can take!
