I had the jab last Friday and have been absolutely fine. No symptoms at all apart from a slightly sore arm for 24 hours. I have heard that what is in the jab just floats around your body anyway, it doesn't go into your bloodstream which I think must be a good thing babywise?

I am really pleased as I was really worried about it, one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make! I still have the odd panic but I kind of feel relieved that I (hopefully) won't catch that nasty killer!

This jab will not protect against the new strain.

On the other hand my DH has decided that I am not to go into any public places from now until Bubs is due as he does not want to risk me catching anything. And as I have now started my maternity leave I am going to be very bored stuck at home indeed.
The pandemrix jab does offer some protection against similar mutated strains. Thats one of the main reasons it is recommended for pregnant women. The celvapan (non adjuvanted vaccine) however does not offer any protection. The doctorcan provide you with leaflets on this.

Oh and i didnt find the pain in the arm too bad. Was only there a day. Depends on the individual I think

im 35 weeks pregnant , Im so glad i came across and joined this forum, ive read so much conflicting things and negativity across the internet that ive been unable to cope with making a decision, ive been in tears. I originally said no and then after my MW looked far from impressed and explainned what risks i was putting my baby and self towards i had a rethink and have gathered as much info as possible.
This site has calmed me alot its the first ive found where there are alot more people having the jab and had positive outcomes and healthy babies at birth, the effect of the baby after where my concerns.
Im due to go this friday and admittingly a little nervous and will grill the nurse before i get jabbed ! i thought i could go without the jab and just up my hygiene and only go out when needed but its a long time to shut yourselve away and avoid something like that and get paranoid over people comming and following them round with antibac!

Mine is Friday too and I also wasnt sure if i wanted it or not but I have decided to have it. I have found it reasureing that others have had it and feel fine. If it wasnt for all of the bad press I wouldnt have questioned it at all and would have just gone for it so trying to keep to the same frame of mind. x

I know what you mean, if there wasnt so much "do & dont" press and scare tactics it be an easy decision. I think the government could have been a little more helpful on the advice given. The first thing i knew about the jab being given was when i was asked to make an appointment by receptionist and i was like no because i know nothing of it, so of course you look online for info and all you see is the conflicting info. It nice to hear from others, im only in a small village and think in a minority of those actually having it, so dont have contact with any local pregnant ladies to talk to or know of whose had it. when is yours friday? x
