Had a car accident today :(

Hey all,

Today I was in a minor car accident where a van rear ended us at about 30 mph and we were stationary. I was in the front passenger seat and a paramedic checked me over and did my blood pressure and asked if I could feel baby moving which I could but that was it. My sister had to be put in a head restraint as a precaution for her neck pain and so the focus went on to her.

Anyway we went to hospital for her and they looked her over but I completely forgot about myself as I was concerned for her. Later on I started to feel some neck pain (whiplash) but now my stomach is feeling quite sore. I can feel baby moving about but I am still a bit worried.

Do you think I should go to my antenatal centre tomorrow to get checked over? Im due to have a scan on Tuesday anyway but I don't want to chance anything. I was a bit silly and looked on the net about what I should do and now I'm now worried about placenta abruption.

aww darling what a terrible happening for you!! i personally would go and have someone check me over just to put my mind at rest. As baby is moving i am sure everything is fine but still when things like this hapen its better for your mindset to be looked after too!! so if it will make you feel better go get checked! i hope your neck is ok and you sister! xoxoxo

I would get checked out for sure hun, placental abruption isn't very common but can happen and it's better to be safe than sorry.
