Not 100% happy with the midwifes decision..

I am 36 weeks on sunday and i see two midwifes, depending on whos busy when i get there.
One is saying baby is definitly breech and the other is saying he is head down?
On thursday the one who thinks he is head down said shes not going to send me for a scan to find out as she thinks he is 100% head down, she hasnt said if he is engaged or anything tho .. is there anything i can do so that i can find out for certain? x

Is one older than the other? Usually the older ones have more experience. They can feel if baby is head down with there hand. But if ur not happy with outcome tell them. Get a 2nd opinion. it also depends on how far apart these mw's said this as babies can turn round all by themselfs at any point

one is older than the other, the older one said hes head down..i saw the younger one on the thursday and the older one came to my house on the friday because my blood pressure was up, so it was the matter of a day them both saying different things. I saw the older one again yesterday and she said that hes head down, but i just want to be certain that he is, i see her again next thursday, do you think i should just mention it to her again that the other midwife is saying hes breech?? .. x

I think if the "breech" was said first and head down was said after, baby could have defiitely turned around. A day is a long time when it comes to the baby's position. You could mention it to her but they dont tend to give scans when we ask. She can more than likely feel the babys position.

That's what I would do. Just say the other midwife has told you breech and you want to be sure xx

You're only 36 weeks, baby still has time to move around and I would think that your LO has moved from breech to head down within 24 hours and could move again by tomorrow.

Is it not in your notes cause the older midwife should know what the other midwife thought cause she should be documenting their findings when they palpate you. But then again it isn't essential to know till after 36 weeks
