Help! Eaten mouldy bread! :(

I had a cheese sandwich last night and never noticed it and had 2 slices of toast for breakfast and didn't notice it but when DH went to get some out at lunchtime he said there was mould on bread, he could only find one slice and it just had 2 bits of mould on.
I'm scared now

A little mould can be good for you - not that it will say this in pregnancy books lol.

Dont worry, there will be no harm done at all! x

The slices you had may well not have had any mould on them...

Any tiny bit on there probably completely disolved as it hit your stomach acid...

Absolutely nothing to worry about

Plus don't forget that mould is the basis of most antibiotics - mould isn't bad at all - bacteria is - mould isn't. Breathing it in can cause problems, but digesting it is fine as someone else correctly mentioned, your stomach acid will get it anyway.

Cheeses with mould are also not bad - take stilton - bad only as it is unpasturised. In theory, you could pasturise it, or raise its temperature and you'd be perfectly well in eating it - mould and all. It's the bacteria risk rather then the mould that keeps it on the don't touch list at the moment.

Bacteria is the nasty one to look out for, yet it's hidden, hence being careful with stuff that's likely to suffer from bacterial decay like animal products. Take two pieces of cold meats - one could be covered in mould - yukky, but won't hurt you, yet the other could look fine but may contain say listeria which you couldn't see anyway.

Mould is just a form or fungus - smells and tastes nasty, yet it's from the same food family as a mushroom - yet they are eaten without a second thought.

Sorry for the waffle, but really don't want you to worry about eating bread with spots on, but also tried to explain why - if you're that bothered - cut the crusts off!! (not really - buy a nice new loaf)!!
