Don't worry at all, I know how worrying it can be cos I was the same, I was in floods of tears because at 30 weeks I was measuring 25cm...but now at 34 weeks I'm measuring 33cm!

The way I think about it is - a full term baby can weigh from say 5-10lb - they're all different in their own special way. I've been told mine has little legs.....just like its mummy (I'm only 5ft 2)!!

I think we're lucky we got the small ones to push out hehe xxx

I'm 37 weeks and was 34cm and mw said it was fine, at 34 I was 31cm and she said there was good growth eventhough I had gone from 2cm behind to 3. Your own height makes a difference though as your lines are plotted on a computer generated graph which inputs your height/weight info etc. into it.

i'm measuring 35 at 40 weeks! was the same with katie, and believe me it doesnt always mean you're gona have a small baby - she was 9lb12! if you've just had a wee you'll measure smaller cos your bladder wont be pushing it up, plus they tuck themselves away really well! my consultant told me it was really really inaccurate!

if it was just a fundal measurement they are widely inaccurate, and can depend on hich way lo is lying

I've been consistently 1cm below where I should be since 31 weeks. No-one seems that concerned by it.
MW said they don't worry until you are more than 2cm out either way, and even then, they just send you for a scan to be on the safe side, as you can see from the posts on here, most of the time baby turns out to be fine. It's quite an inaccurate indication of baby's size, just the only one they can do at local GP surgery without lots of expensive equipment.

as the girls said hun don't worry. with my first baby i always measured spot on or a bit above and he was tiny (weighed a teeny 5ibs 3ozs) so obviously wasn't growing well but the fundal height didn't represent this at all. I have heard of ladies who are weeks behind fundal height wise and go on to have very good sized babies.
