OMG! Baby turned round at last!

Had the scan this morning to check baby's growth and position and we nearly fell off the chair/bed when the sonographer said there's the head at the bottom......after baby being persistently breech and 2 midwifes confirming it was still breech on Monday at some point in the last 2 days (36+ weeks) the little monkey has shifted round!

The midwife today asked what I'd done to turn him after so long.....I have no idea at all!
I did have some odd pains on Tuesday night and lots of painful pushing on my side last night so I can only assume he got the idea all by himself.

I'm soooooo pleased. I'd resigned myself to a c-section so its really wierd suddenly thinking about giving birth the other way but I feel much better about it!

So any ladies with breech babies, keep your fingers crossed - its true, the little pickles can suddenly turn without you knowing about it.

Thank you! I'm really excited now about the whole birth thing rather than worrying about an inevitable c-section!

Congrats! It's a great feeling eh?

You know, I'm starting to get more convinced that MWs are getting it wrong quite frequently. I was told that baby was breech several times, despite hiccups low down and kicks up high... my mum's a MW too and said she though baby was breech but that it was hard to tell as I had a decent amount of fluid. Anyway, the next week she said that she was definitely head down, engaging and may never have been breech at all! Apparently, LO just has a bony bum! It's since been confirmed that she's head down and fully engaged by another MW.

So, ladies worrying about being breech... if you're not convinced, don't worry about it or dwell on it too much. I was terrified and convinced I'd be having a C section too.

Congrats again!
