I've been getting this as well over the past few weeks - guess there must be some stretching and straining going on???

Hi

Sounds similar to what I was having yesterday whilst shopping in Asda I kept stopping and pretending to look at things until it went.

I can only describe it as a feeling of pressure and then a shooting pain in my cervix so from what I've read would be consistent with the baby moving down.

x

If the pain you described is a shooting pain that goes rights up your vagina, and if your sat down and it makes you jump up a little then yes I have had these pains. I used to get them when I was on my period, and I have had them in my pregnancy. Its almost like a stabbing/shock in your pelvis bones. I have been told its a muscle spasm.

I hope that helps!

Yeah I have been getting this aswell, it happens every couple of days a couple of times but it makes me jump, it's pretty uncomfortable. I get it down there as if the baby has gven me a good kick and it causes a shooting pain, and also I sometimes get it more towards my bum aswell, it feels really weird.
My baby isnt engaged yet but she is head down so maybe she is getting ready to engage?? It's nice to know that it's not just me getting these pains though, as I was too embarrassed to ask my midwife aswell lol

xxx

Thanks ladies. It's getting worse and more and more intense, but still comes and goes. I did some research and found that because there are no bones in the vagina, it's all muscle and cartilage, it stretches and moves of it's own volition. Sounds a bit strange lol Apparently it does this even when you're not pregnant but when you are it happens all the more and also the pelvis is moving a lot too. Hmmm. Fun! Fun! Fun! xx

Yup, his head is down which is a bonus I guess Says in my notes under presentation - 'Ceph'. Not sure exactly what this means but I'm recall reading something in a thread on here that it's to do with the head being in the right position and that baby is not feet down. xx
