Midwife appointment today

All went well, apparently based on fundal height if he keeps going as he is I'm looking at 7 or 8lb baby

I found it a bit strange that my named midwife has left to go on maternity leave without saying anything at my last appointment though

I don't think I have a named midwife anymore, as both of the ones I had have left for some reason or other. I know my midwife was about 2 weeks ahead of me, so was expecting to see her today and was actually going to ask when she was due etc.

The one I saw today was a stand in but she was really nice

Asking if we knew if bubs was he or she, and asking if we had a name etc. xx

I wouldn't rely too much on fundal height. According to my last hospital appointment my fundal height put Flump as being only 2lb 2oz (4th percentile) and then when I was scanned he was actually 3lb 9oz (48th percentile) it is just a best guess. I'm just not carrying a lot of water so I am all baby.

what was your fundal height hun? I saw my mw today too and mine was 28, she didnt say anything about how big she thought bubbs was gunna be though

Mine was 27cm

So just about average. At my 25 week one it was 26cm though, so he must have had a lazy few weeks because he was a week ahead last time, and now he's a week behind. xx

mine was measuring 28cms at my appointment yesterday...but she never mentioned anything about a weigh?! hmm...

i have my 28week check up next week and was wonderin what to expect.
i haven't had one paticular midwife all the way through, was a bit disapointed as i thought it would be nice to have one all way through and then at the birth and stuff. everyone ive seen has been different.
my mums told me to complain but im upfront anyway so feel comfortabe speakin to any health professional. has anyone else had differet midwifes? x

I had one at my booking appointment that I never saw again, then my 16 and 25 week were both the same midwife, then today was different, and I think it'll be a diff one every time now. I think in theory you're meant to have the same one but doesn't always work that way xx
