Baby olive oil

Hi ladies,
have any of you heard of baby olive oil, it has been recommended by my antenatal class but I can't find it anywhere and can't work out the difference between baby olive oil and regular olive oil. Any thoughts?

Hi. I haven't heard of baby olive oil, but I have used samaritan olive oil before. It doesn't smell as strong as normal olive oil and you can get it at your local pharmacy. In fact, i've seen it in both Sainsbury and Tesco pharmacy before.

I used it when I had really dry skin and I didn't want to use anything chemical.

Hope this helps.

Hi girls,

Id definately recommend using baby olive oil ( it doesnt have a smell to it like the normal olive oil), it is used for dry skin on the baby and for their scalp (cradle cap). My daughter suffered really bad with cradle cap, i tried everything untill one health visitor told me about the olive oil, It worked wonders, just rubbing a very small amount over the baby's scalp and leaving it, her cradle cap was gone within a week, (although it does look like you havnt bathed your child for a long time,it does work)

I got mine from Asda pharmacy, and if i remember correctly it was only about £5.00 ( i may be wrong).

I will definatley be buying some more for My little man to come!

I say must buy!!!!

P.S= glitter bugs picture is exaclty what i used!! xxx

This has been recommended by our NCT antenatal teacher too - she said ordinary extra virgin olive oil is fine, but I will keep an eye out for the baby stuff

I use ordinary olive oil on my hair sometimes, and can't say I've ever thought I smelt like food because of it - but then again others may have a different opinion!!
