You got that right! I sure hope it isn't hard for people to get something done fast! I am just going to buy a new one, as mine is a few years old (bought it second hand for my last child but was never used ) it is in great shape and I love it but well... sure am not going to use it!

I saw the piece in the kit on the news... it is just a clip on that goes on the bottom plastic slider that will stop the rail from moving over to the "down" side... not a huge change to the design to create a safe crib. I think we are keeping ours.

I have storkcraft as well, but not a drop down rail thank god.
2 big recalls in a month, the other one being that stroller.
makes me worry.

Yeah it doesn't seem hard to fix at least but I worry about other things that might end up wrong...

With any crib you need to make sure they are assembled properly but their name keeps getting drug through the mud.

It's the plastic parts they used... I figure since I have the heavy duty brackets now in (I got the last recall kit), and now this fixed, there isn't any other plastic part that can even be replaced.

Our hinges look fine and don't have any wear, but I can see how if someone is still using a crib from 1993 or have been hard on the rails, how they could very well be worn out...

They should have built the crib with heavy duty metal parts to begin with. That is their problem.
