BACK PAIN! please help, any ideas!

Hello girls,
Well I should be fast asleep my now, it is WAY past my bedtime But my back is giving me so much trouble, its been getting worse through the past few days but not got to me SO much. Today it seems to be on another level and now tonight I have not got a chance of getting to sleep (so much pain) its all from the centre of my back going down towards the lower back!
I have so many pillows and I have tried eveything to get in the right position to get to sleep but still nothing!

Does anyone have any ideas what this could be or what I can do to try and get SOME kind of sleep??
Driving me mad
Thankyou

I don't know if that's going to help but my midwife told me it's very important not to walk or stand with an arched back. You know, the typical "pregnant woman position" with the hands on the hips and the belly popping in front of you? She told me that I should try to correct my position all the time because it was making back pain worse. Are you trying to keep a "rounded" back when you walk or stand?

as the others said, i find a small hotwater bottle on lower back helps

I have been wearing a belly band for weeks now so i just pop the bottle in under the fabric

also when i sleep i try and have a cushion wedged behind my back with a bottle between it and my lower back

i also somtimes have a pillow wedged under my bump if it feels like its pulling.

but sometimes none of this works! i think sometimes baby just gets into a position that traps a nerve

I have a bad back too, stops me from sleeping sometimes. I've noticed it gets worse if I haven't been doing my exercises as regularly - my aquanatal class keeps being cancelled and its definitely worse. If I get up and do some stretches on the the floor that usually helps - are you doing any exercises at the moment hon? There are a few stretches you can do that specifically target the lower back. I also find sitting on my birth ball and gently bouncing instead of sitting on the sofa in the evenings while watching tv or whatever helps too.
