3rd Degree Tear - should I worry??

Hey, when I gave birth to my daughter (18 mths ago), I end up with a 3rd degree tear..ouch. I'm 27 weeks now, and can already feel the scar aching. Has anyone else had a 3rd degree tear & gone on to have a normal delivery the 2nd time, I really don't want a c-section, but also don't want my old scar to tear again...any reassurance would be great !!

hi there try not to worry. I had a 3rd degree tear with my first and have had 3 more babies and have not had to have a single stitch with any of them!! Hopefully you will be the same!

Ditto, I had the same 21/2years ago and often have moments where I can feel the scar aching and have been a little concerned myself. I am also 27 weeks.
I will be asking my consultant though at my next appointment in Jan. Midwife said not to worry at all cause things are so much looser down there that more than likely the baby will fly out... Keep thinking that at the end of the day the labour could go in many ways so am trying not to worry about it too much... big hugs and lotsa luck
