I'm not bringing one with me. Dummies can cause nipple confusion if you're breastfeeding so I've read..

Yep. This is what I've heard/read. With a general view that 6 weeks is a good point if you wanted to introduce a dummy.

As to "need". I don't think kids need them but its parental choice. Some people HATE them with a vengeance and others swear by them as a life saver (as they obviously pacify small children when they're feeling grumpy etc.)

There are many pro and con theories and I'm really unsure. I think I'll wait the 6 week period and then if my kids fussy quite a lot or has issues sleeping I might try it. But I might not.

Dummies are proven to reduce the risk of cot death and also are a great comfort for babies xx

If your going to breastfeed they recommend not giveing them a dummy. But id pack one anyone as it does no harm. My son had one but he was bottlefed. My dd wouldnt take one and she was breast. Ive got one in the pack with all my bottles, so going to take it this time anyway.

My little obe is almost 4 and has never had a dummy, which i am really glad of because all my friends at the nursery were trying to wean their kids off them (with difficulty) and i didn't have to!!

Suppose it really depends on the baby tho.

Goodluck whatever you decide to do x
