I know this has been covered before but...

Anyone noticed their cats or dogs behaving differently since becoming pregnant?

I took my dog out this morning and she growled, snarled, nipped and barked at every dog that came near She's never done that before and I was really gutted because I started talking to a woman who had the same breed dog as Sky and we have NEVER seen the same breed here before.
Sky used to be really friendly with other dogs, I hope this is just a phase

There's one other thing it could be but we've been through this before and this never happened - she's at the very tail end of her season (excuse the pun!).

The only thing I have noticed is that my cat never ever jumps on my belly and she used to do it in the morning all the time.
She is probably just being protective of you and your bundle.

My younger dog, Heidi is ALWAYS sleeping on my belly now. At night she also sleeps next to it with her head on it. (She's only 2 pounds, so it's not squashing LO) She's never done that before, but I wonder if it's because it's comfy or it's because she feels something.

lol, there's only one cat I'll let sleep on my belly out of our 17 and that's our little kitten... ok, he's not quite a kitten anymore but not an adult either!

Hope you're right Aqua, keeping my fingers crossed that she'll go back to normal - heavily pregnant woman trying to manhandle a 6 stone dog isn't good! DH will have to take her out from now on, I can barely walk now!

My dog NEVER jumped up on me before...and now she does...right into bump! Cats seem to think they should be able to lay on it more often. Maybe my pets don't want a lil sis!

When I was pregnant last year (miscarriage) my cat (before we got her fixed) just stopped going into heat for the entire near 4 months i was pregnant. It was like she was pregnant too. Right after i miscarried she immediately started going in heat again. We've since had her fixed and the only thing I notice with her now is she has to curl up next to my bump under the covers at night. Not sure why, I guess she just likes it.

I think our animals know more than we give them credit for and I think your dog is just being extra protective of you and bump right now.

Sounds like your doggie was being very protective.
