hun i did a lot of research and decided to have it. its up to you. its not a live vaccine, tbh the only reason i got it is because the normal flu targets oldies but this strain targets pregnant ladies and kids! i weighed everything up and decided it wasnt worth the risk as i get everything that goes round!

it has to be personal choice based on your beliefs about the vaccine no one on here can really tell you ot have it or not have it, the best person to ask is your midwife can you speak to her before the jab appointment maybe she can help you decide and she will have all the inforamtion about the vaccine.

If you use the search tool and search the forum for posts on this there have been lots of threads discussing it, and some of them have some really useful information and research that people have done, which might possibly help you decide (or make you even more confused!)

I had mine yesterday.

Feel fine, sore arm, baby kicking as normal.

who knows if i made the right decision??? I just know that its a case of nobody has died from the vaccine but lots of people have died from swine flu.

Good luck and if you dont go for your appointment you need to feel sure that you wont spend the rest of your pregnancy worrying yourself sick about becoming ill with the flu - this is why i had mine, I have 13 weeks left and I had started to become a bit of a recluse cos I was scared everyone I came into contact with had swine flu.

Hope you make your decision xxxxx

Hello sweetie,

It is completely personal choice I have been all over the place on this 50/50 but my specialist who dealt with me through my miscarriages said for me to have it - BUT ultimately its was my decision to have it today.

Big huggles for whatever you decide x x x x x

I got mine and I am fine and so is my son It is up to you though and what you feel is best for you and your family. I didn't look things up on the internet or listen to others when deciding to get mine, I went to my OB and Specialist for advice because there is so much out there to push away or towards the vaccine that isn't medically backed up! Hope you can get the help you need to make your decision

Hi, i got mine this morning, after thinking about it during the run up my doctors open day for me i had to weigh up my personal reasons. I have asthma and take 2 inhalers daily and i have 2 school aged children. For me my reason was although i am always concerned for the welfare of this baby my children that here now are my upmost importance and me being well and of as little risk of being seriously ill is paramount where they are concerned.

Hope you can find some peace with decision and remember despite other peoples opinions not everything is black and white and it is your decision alone xx

I was totally against it, and have just this min got it - my OH said to me he couldn't face life without me, (or bubs) if we died of SFlu, and I realized he was right, no right or wrong decision, its only one you could make.

I think its funny how the government want us to decide to have it with ZERO information given to us!
