Quick Question About Internals - do you get any warning?

As in, will they say "ok, next week we will do an internal" or will they just spring it on me at one of my ante-natal appointments on the actual day..

I would like to be prepared, if you get me

Only time I had an internal was when they were checking to see if good time to start induction, as first baby was overdue. Would not worry too much, never had one as routine with other babies. Think may be different outside Uk

Im on edge in the waiting room before every ante-natal, fiddling with my notes all nervously and tapping my feet...thinking they might just do one..

I might just ask her outright on Friday...

Well they're not likely to do it if you're going for a routine appointment but if you have a problem where they might want to do one or near the end of pregnancy I'd be prepared anyway because they don't tend to tell you before hand.

You CAN refuse internals if there's no good reason to have one. Or you can say you'll put it off while you research the reason why you need one, if that would make you more comfortable.
We have more rights than you think! Their word ISN'T the be all and end all.

I just ask her before the end of every visit. I need a heads up, since shaving is such a production right now..
