Back from doctors apt! (34 weeks)

Just got back from my appointment,
Everything was fine with the baby. I'm measuring 32 weeks though.
I also gained 48 pounds so far which really makes me feel like a huge whale. My doctor said I should be more careful and eat reasonably and healthy without dieting. So from now on, I'll cut down on the cake... (OH and I stopped at the fruit shop to buy LOADS of fruits and veggies, hopefully it will help)

I also had the infamous strep-b test. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, she just put the tip at the entry of the vagina and anus. It was over before I knew it.

She also started to do internals, I'm not dilated and the baby's head isn't engaged yet. (Makes me wonder where all that damn pelvic pressure comes from!!!)

So that's it! I'm looking forward to give birth now!

Don't put any mind to your weight gain hon, you look fabulous in your bump pics! I'm sure you'll be able to get back into shape after bubba is born very soon.

Glad everything else went well on your appointment! Don't worry about not being dilated/engaged either. Girls can go to term like that and go into labor any day. The pressure is probably the weight of the baby.
Soon you'll be holding your LO!

Weeee, we're going to be mommies soooooon!

Glad everything went well.
I get my strep b test next week!
I still haven't gotten a lecture regarding my weight gain. I am stressing about it enough as it is.

And you said they started doing the internals as well?

I suppose that is definitely waiting for me next week.

Yeah she started internals now. But don't worry about it, it's not at bad as it sounds... She just puts 2 fingers in to see if you're dilated, she doesn't have a look down there. It Doesn't hurt at all, it's a just tiny bit uncomfortable.

Glad to hear your appointment went well.

Don't worry about your weight, once you have your baby, you can lose it, it is not permanant. My best friend gained 60-65 lbs with her daughter, and she is now skinny as can be.

Glad everything went well! Like the girls said, dont stress about the weight gain (easier said than done!) But it will come off quickly after he's here. And you look great! I didn't think the strep test was bad either, and I was pretty nervous about it. But just one of the things that has to be done.

My doctor hasn't started internals to check for dilation yet. She felt that the baby was engaged by feeling through my skin (which kinda hurt cause she pressed really hard down there!) I did have an internal at 23 weeks, and it wasn't too pleasant, but I'd rather just start having them and know whether I'm progressing any! Maybe on Friday at my next appt. Are you switching to every week now? It's gonna be soon and he'll be here!! =)

Your so lucky hon, my first internal was brutal . I don't think she was gentle enough at all and probably is what sent me into labor because after that all my internals didn't hurt at all at the hospital.

I had gained around 48lbs where you are now.
During the last month you will probably loose some.
I got up to 48lbs, then lost 3lbs.
However, with my last appointment I put 2lbs back on
So, now I am currently at 47lbs more than prepregnancy.

Glad your tests went well. They start internals early there!
Mine didn't start until 36 weeks.
