Oh, you didn't have to drink that gross orange drink? Lucky you, haha. It's like drinking liquid sugar.. which it is.

Congrats! I'm still waiting for my results.

No My midwife had me fast from 12pm. Then at 8:30 I went to see her, gave a drop of blood. Went and ate a big breakfast, potatoes, toast, bacon, OJ. Then 2 hours after my last bite, I headed back to her office and gave another drop of blood. That was it!

.... All they did was poke your finger??? They took a vat (lol) of blood out of me. And made me sit in THE MOST uncomfortable chair in the world for an hour. No magazines, nothing.

I was bored to tears.

That is about all she has ever taken. I have only had blood drawn once from her, and it didn't hurt at all. As far as care goes, she is amazing. It is actual care, she always give me a big hug at the end of our appointment. She wants to know how I and DH are feeling physically, mentally and emotionally. It is just so wonderful. Why can't all prenatal care be this way? I just don't understand why the medical community has been allowed to make prenatal care such a bad experience. We as woman need to take a stand, and take back our care! I will never use an OB/GYNO again, especially after my Gyno sent me a certified letter, one I had to sign for, dumping me from her service as long as I was using a midwife for my prenatal care. It was the most offensive thing I have ever experienced from a doctor. Luckily my midwife also does women's care so I can see her for my smears from now on. Plus, her exam was so gentle, I hardly felt anything.
