We went out of town yesterday to have our second appointment with my birthing doctor and I was very pleased. DH and I have been hoping to find somewhere to do a water birth but thought because the hospital was so small that it wouldn't offer that option.. we were surprised when he said there are hot tubs in every birthing room if we were to choose a water birth. I'm very excited now
The baby was great, she's officially head-down as I had suspected. We've got an ultrasound next thursday to check her size to ensure she isn't too large but my measurements have been right on, so I think we're o.k.
The only thing standing in my way of delivering there right now is my blood pressure. He told me he wants me to go off the meds for it and monitor my blood pressure again. If it's continuously high, then I can't deliver there. They only deliver low-risk pregnancies. I'm not too worried though as each time I've monitored myself it's relatively low-normal.
So far, so good ladies!! Keep your fingers crossed for me so I can deliver there. My only other option is traveling 4 hours to the next city and waiting there 2 weeks before my due date and I realllyyyyyy don't want to do that.
