it was all going so well :-(

I managed to get all the way to 36 weeks, finished work on tuesday and ive planned things to do before im due, when i say things to do i mean things to clean ha ! But today i went for my antenatal appt and found that ive not got much going for me at the moment ! High Blood pressure, glucose, protein and something else i didnt quiet hear in my urine and bump measuring slighty to big argh! been told to rest and midwife will call at mine tommorow and check bp again if its still not ok i have to go to hospital, i was really upset when i came out of appt they tell you not to worry but its impossible, i was just wondering if this is a common thing an anyone else had this im sorry i know this may be trivial to other things you may be going through but i had to get it out thanks for listening x

I have had dodgy blood pressure throughout and everything in urine at some point. Loads of extra blood tests but nothing serious and a happy baby just high blood pressure and given drugs to lower it. they will just keep an extra eye on you which is reasuring. Made it to 41 weeks :-)

I know exactly how you feel - everything had been going well for me too until my consultant's appointment on Wednesday...

He found traces of protein and + glucose in my urine, and my blood pressure was high, so he told me I'd have to go to the hospital the next day for day care/assessment. Then he had a feel of baby, and told me I seemed very big for my dates, so also booked me in for a growth scan. I came home very emotional...not really understanding how things could have changed so quickly since my midwife appointment the week before.

Anyway, I went for my day care assessment yesterday where my blood pressure was monitored, and all was well...but I now had ++++ glucose in my urine, and when my blood results came back they found that my liver wasn't functioning as it should!! Also baby's heart beat was very high, and took over an hour and a half on the monitor to come back down again. They scanned me there and then, and baby's measurements really vary...normal femur length, abdominal circ a couple of weeks ahead, and the head...3+ weeks ahead!!! Scary!!

So, as a result of all that, I was sent for a GTT this morning, and have got to go back to the hospital on Monday for more bloods to check my liver, and to be monitored again!

Been a very stressful few days, and I too have let it all get to me...I just want baby to be OK, and when I give myself time to think, my mind starts thinking of all the worst case scenarios.

However, as my friend quite sensibly told me...at least they've spotted these things now, and are able to monitor me to make sure that me and baby are all OK...would be worse if we had these issues, and no-one knew anything about them.

Sorry I've babbled on so much...hope things settle down for you soon.

I'm sure you'll be well looked after.

Lucy x

big hugs on such a horrid day. theres obviously something in the fact its friday 13th

It is a worry. i'm totally with you on that one although its not good for us to worry as its just gona make bp go up more.

Try doing something to unwind and relax. i'm playing cafe world on facebook atm, its quite fun talking to the ladies on here have helped me today. they are wonderful and they make it seem so much better.

Sorry to hear about this, not long ago well last week I posted about this myself, i`m supposed to be 26 weeks but was measuring at 34 weeks I have a glucose test next week to find out but my midwife couldnt understand how I was 8 weeks bigger. I have no excess fluid when I went for a scan and just waiting round now for this glucose test to tell me what be happening.

Its horrible when youve been told not to worry just makes you worry even more.
She toke my blood pressure it was ok last week but it could change from then to next wek she told me!

Good luck and here if u need a chat!!
