Scared! Toxemia

So i went to the DR today and things were fine until the took my BP... i went from a normal of 110/60 - 140/80 and they have me scared sh**less now... as soon as the dr came in she started talking about Toxemia and bed rest...

They put me on a monitor and did a non-stress test which seemed to be fine. They also sent me for blood work, supposedly they will call me with the results some time this afternoon.

i'm just really concerned... i really wouldn't mind the bedrest as i'm seriously over working everyday but financially and with insurance issues it makes for added stress.

I just needed to vent!

Toxemia is serious and Dr. advice shouldn't be taken lightly- but I was diagnosed with in in week 30 of my first pregnancy.

I had it for 7 weeks, and was on 'modified bedrest' for 4 of those, then I was induced at 37 weeks.

DD fine.

I was fine. (In fact, I felt like a new woman after the delivery).

Hang in there.

BTW start packing in the protien. That has been shown to alleviate a lot of the pre-eclampsia / toxemia symptoms.

Dr. Brewer's Blue ribbon baby diet is actually for mom's who are at risk for pre-eclampsia. It is protien intense!

Thank you all for your well wishes!!!! I got the test results back and they said it looks negative They are still concerned as i have protien in my urine and my blood pressure is high so I'm going back in on monday so they can monitor me again just to make sure everything is ok.

Even though the bedrest would have been nice for the next 2 weeks i'm really glad they said it looks good... i just want my little bundle to be healthy
