TMIT ***** Sore and itchy

sorry if this is too much...but didnt sleep well at all last night...my lady bits are so red, swollen, sore, itchy

im pretty sure its not thrush as its all external and i dont really have any discharge at all.

does anyone else have this?

I cant bear to wear any underwear/trousers at the moment as its so irritable.

ooh me too hun - my lady bits are sore and a bit swollen too, just not asked anyone about it Like you though i don't think it is thrush - i have had this a few times and although i am having some discharge it is just very slight and quite thin (sorry!) and the same as i have had for the past few weeks now. I have just put it down to me having to wear pantyliners 24/7 and, even though i change them regularly, it's not getting as much time to breathe as such

I realise i haven't been any help to you whatsoever, maybe it's just the hormones causing havoc down there and excess fluids!!! xxx

I've got exactly the same thing and did post about it but got responses saying it probably was thrush as it can just be external, I'm going to get a swab taken if it doesn't settle but it's all external, no discharge and it does come and go - been washing with femfresh soothing wash and using a little bit of vagisil if it gets bad and seems to be under control but might have to get tested if won't go away so can get treatment!

I had this last week and went to the docs about it. I was really itchy in the folds of my groin (sorry TMI) and didn't know what it was.

The doc took one look and said "oh that's thrush". I didn't know it could just be external but apparently it can be anywhere warm, dark and damp.

They gave me some cream ~ it's not 100% better but it's not quite as itchy down there now!

It's worth getting checked out as they may be able to give you something to stop it being so uncomfortable.

I've had it too, last night it was keeping me awake! I don't think mine is thrush either as I had that before - its probably just hormones or something. Though I'll ask at my next check up on Thurs

I had the same symptoms an didnt think it was thrush until went to docs. She said it was thrush an gave me a pessary and it cleared within two days!! what a relief as thought it was swollen an sore because of pressure of baby so when i treated it for thrush an it went away it was great!!!

Hiya, i too was in itchy pain for a week, aaarghh. I told the midwife as she commented that my wee was a bit cloudy and she said it was thrush-can be internal or external.luckily mine was only external, but two days of canesten cream and its all gone yipppeeee! So it doesn't have to be internal and canesten is safe to use. You need to clear it as bubs can pick it up when being born, plus youll just be more uncomf than u need to be

OKay so firstly I live in the US so I am not sure if Thrush and yeast infections are the same or not BUT.....

I have had 4 yeast infections during this pregnany. I had one about a month ago that was really really bad. I have never had any dischage with any of them just itching, burning, pain when standing, right before I went to the doctor last time I started bleeding becasue my (TMI) vaginal walls were so inflamed.

I would consult your doctor and see what they say. I actually got another yeast infection last friday and am now finishing up with meds. I asked the doctor about it becasue I never get these and she said that it was normal in pregnancy becasue you have so many hormones changing. I highly doubt it is your body getting ready, I would say it is a yeast infection.
