3 nights is the standard.

But, get your arse in the air woman! My baby was breech and I rolled on birthing ball and got my ass in the air for about 2 weeks before - he had turned by my 34 week appointment

Here in the US... typically its 3 days extra that you will stay. Some mom's stay 5 days depending on pain thresh hold and how well baby is doing. Some doctors are pretty lenient as far as mom staying with baby in the hospital but they won't go farther than 5 days unless other complications arise.

Jeez... you've come to terms with it? I certainly haven't yet. I'm on the birthing ball as we speak.

I am preparing myself too - scary isnt it. over 60% of twins are born by c section - more due to the need for early delivery that presentation. Oh and just imagine having to do both - there is sometimes the need for a c section for the second after going through a vaginal delvery for the first HAHA. Noowww see do you feel better? you could be me and facing having to do both hehehehehehe

Hi - it may depend on your area. I live in the Leeds area and I'm having an elective c-section next week. We generally only stay in for 2 days afterwards. I was a little surprised!

Re the breached-ness of your LO, mine was breach for ages until 36 weeks and then there was loads of movement and she flipped round. It could happen!

Good luck either way.

xx

How do you get comfy? My knees hurt on the hard floor... I've been leaning on my ball but can only manage about 5 minutes. Have been sat on it for hours though.
