Stretchmarks suck!

Was just about to get dressed this morning when i decided to look in the mirror at my belly

and noticed i've got my first lot of stretchmarks

They're really dark and look a bit like purple/bluey bruises

I thought i was doing well, 33 weeks without any!

Palmers coco butter worked well for me so did the mummy to be kit by the sanctuary. I've used them since birth as well and altho I didnt get many anyway, the ones I did get have more or less gone - I doubt anyone but me would notice them

Gutted - I keep doing a daily check of my belly just in case *touch wood* so far the bio oil is holding them at bay.

After watching a breast feeding video I've also started to put it on them as well, the woman in the video seemed to have more strech marks than skin on hers!

ah poor you. I haven't got any yet, but I am sure they are coming. My skin is xo tight it can't stretch any more. I think that even if I don't get them before bubs arrives, they are going to be there when my stomach deflates like an old wrinkly balloon! I think we just have to accept them and learn to love them! My skin isn't tight though, how strange

I'm going to stock up on stretch mark stuff and PILE it on by the tube

I can't see the underneath of my bump, but dh keeps reassuring me that i don't have any new ones! I didn't really start getting them last time until really late on, so thankfully i only have 10 days to go until c section! They are awful though, and i've been using Bio Oil, Vaseline's cocoa butter oil, and Cocoa Butter pretty much theh whole way through. Don't know if they've helped or not, but makes me feel better trying!

I do have some on my boobs (old ones) and i HATE them with a passion.

Mother Nature eh!!!!

I used to hate my stretchmarks with a passion after i had DS as my ex husband would constantly tell me how ugly i was with them. but he was a demented freak!!!!!

Since being with my OH i have come to realise how special they are as they are the evidence we have done an extremely grand job of carrying our children. They are like our warrior tattooes that show how brave and special we are. So look upon your tattooes with pride ladies coz we have all done a very special thing to create and carry another human being around for 9 months.

poor u hun its a weird feeling isnt it although uve expected them u never wer ready for them hehe mine seem to be all over my right bum cheek

i know how you feel i have got quite a few now feel like a pink and red zebra lol i read somewhere tht no matter what you try you cant prevent them if your pre disposed to getting them which is a bit crap but ill keep trying the creams anyway atleast ill be a soft zebra
