Does Gas and Air make you sick????

I am over all pretty worried about the whole birth thing. Mostly because no other half there, but I am lucky to have two friends who would be there for me and - girls are probably better at this sort of thing!
Anyway, I have a terrible reaction to Anesthetic. I am usually sick for days after, and I was wondering if Gas and Air can make you sick?
I must say, I was hoping for an epidural, but it seems thats not on the list of options until things get pretty bad.
I really feel like an utter coward! But normally I have a high pain threshold. I am more scared of being sick than anything else really!

I used it with all three my pregnancies and it was fine for me. Made you feel a bit woozy but the effects go away within seconds. It didnt make me feel sick, but it did make me very thirsty.

Yuck yuck yuck! Thats not good. I sort of assume it might affect me that way since I react pretty badly to anesthetic! Ohhhh Nooooo More scared now!

With my little girl I was sick using gas and air so stopped using it. With my son I was feeling pretty sick but the midwife told me that it will wear off and to keep going with it and the sickness will go and she was right. I really wish someone had have told me this when in labour with Beth. xx

The best tip i've been given about the gas and air is if you feel a bit woozy from it keep using it for a bit as it will go away most of the time! Also to eat sucky sweets as it makes you really thirsty! Been told as well not to guzzle water if it makes you really thirsty because drinking lots of water and taking gas and air will fill your stomach up with slooshy water and gas an will more than likely make you sick!

Hope this helps! I don't like being sick either but have been trying to think that il be sick at least once( dont know why i picked once lol) so as to squash my vomiting fears and so that im not trying to completely prevent it and make myself more worried! lol doesnt make much sense probably im rubbish at explaining things lol but works for me...a bit like reverse pyscology or something! xx
