Ladies, what would you do?

Went to bed pretty early last night to finish watching Harry Potter.... so i'm just lay in bed and i get this strange sensation... i can feel something coming out of my hoo-ha, it felt like when i was bleeding at 14 wks, though it carried on longer, that was like one gush and over, this was like 3, so i paniced, jumped up and ran to the toilet, expecting to see a crap load of blood, but nope nothing... it was just water, it had no smell to it really - wasnt urine anyway and it wasnt discharge, it was just wet... at first i thought, it smelt a bit disinfectanty - then i realised my toilet tissues was fragranced, so i omitted the thought that it was my waters - as dont they smell like bleach?

Anyway, it wasnt a lot of water, certainly not like what people say when there waters broke, i wiped twice and i was dry again?

The next thing i remember is waking up at 6.18am with period cramps, nothing like any braxton hicks ive had, wouldnt say it was a tightening, just like stomach ache...

I woke up a couple of times after this, but wasnt quite with it so couldnt say it was at certain times...

Now i feel pretty fine - not really much signs of anything?

I dont wanna go to the hospital again really if i dont have to, dont wanna waste anyones time. And if this would of happened an hour later i wouldnt of even known about it, i'd of been sleeping.

what would you do if it was you?

I would probably ring the MW to get checked out hun, I don't think it's worth the risk!!! It's probably just the head engaging - but you should probably check to make sure!!

I'd tell your MW an take her advice on it.

I didn't know they existed, but someone on here leaked 'hind waters' and that was not the same or such a panic as your normal waters etc. Not 100% what thats about though, sorry.

I know here, if your proper waters break then they induce you after 24 hrs if nothings happening, to avoid infection etc, so it's important to check xx

As the others have said I'd check with your MW.

But I have noticed in the past couple of weeks I tend to wake up a lot wetter down there (sorry for tmi) than usual. It could be watery discharge.

I'd still get checked tho, just in case.

Hope you're ok.

I'd never heard of it before the NHS antenatal class last week (I guess it wasn't as useless as I thought) but your water can break in 2 bits, depending on how the baby is laid.

Hopefully your BH are just getting stronger and it was just "normal" watery discharge, I've had a bit recently too, but no BH/anything else so haven't worried about it.

I just dont wanna go sit in a hospital again, feel like i'm wasting their time - like i said, if it would of happened an hour later i wouldnt of even known about it, i was positive it was blood at the time! thats what makes me think it wasnt discharge, it was just all a bit quick for that...

did a bit of a read up on the net and everything points to hind waters, which can happen as the baby engages and they grow back apparently, so thats my guess

Hey hun, the same happened to me last week. I phoned mw who said sounds like waters have gone. Got bag packed and off to hospital. Was there for about 5 hours and after being poked and proded everywhere was told that cervix was still closed and everything ok. I apologised to the doc for wasting her time and she told me not to be so silly, she said to go back anytime i am unsure and thats what they are there for! I think that if you are worrying about it then its maybe worth a trip to the hospital just to put your mind at ease and then if anything is happening you are in the best possible place! Hope everything is ok hun xxx
