Just wondered for the ladies that have had or are having an elective c section what did you pack in your bags and how much of each thing ie. vests etc did you pack? xx
hi hun i am not having a planned csect so dont know if im much help but i think if i was having one i probably pack pretty much the same things! maybe a few more essentials just incase the stay is long and deffo ur own pillows xxx
Well I have kind of made a c section list although its not by any means definitely yet. I have left out 'labour type' things like hairbands, lip salve and water spray for face. I have upped the pj/ clothes/ maternity pad kind of stuff to allow for a 1 week stay and thats about it really. I cant see much else being that different hth
I've packed a couple extra of everything, as the chances are you'll be in hospital an extra day or so. I've got 4 vests/4 babygros, about a dozen nappies (dh can bring more if i need them), a couple of blankets, 2 pairs of scratch mits.
In my bag, i have about 6 pairs of knickers and a pack of disposable knickers, couple of nursing sleep bras, 3 nighties, 4 pairs of socks (my feet are always cold!), a pack of maternity pads, about 20 breastpads, a couple of towels, and just normal amount of toiletries.
If your dh/oh is travelling back and forth to the hospital, he can always bring you anything you run out of.
The only thing i still need to add to my bag is something to wear home, and some snacks, magazines etc.
Thank you clarabella..i'll def be in for 5 days. Maybe i should pack 2 vests a day? 3 years seems so long ago! There is a an asda near by so if need be hubby can pop to that. Gonna pack 2 packs of nappies cuz i ran out the last time. xx
Thank you ladies..how many packs of pads etc are you packing? I live 2 hours from the hospital so not too easy for hubby to pop home for things. xx
not a clue!!!!!! I am adding a pack to each weekly shop from now on in and kind of just going to take as many packs as fit in the bag tbh. I am sure you can buy that kind of thing at the hospital tbh if your oh isnt coming back and forth. My plan is to pack a reserve bag at home basically full of duplicates so I can get oh to just bring it in when I need it after the stuff I have has been used.
That's it a good idea vicky!! Didn't think of that..i'm gonna get started on it tonight now lol i'm so impatient..def gonna pack magazines cuz it can get boring when the wee one is sleeping. Thank you ladies for your replies has helped tremendously xxx
Well having just been told i've to have a section next week i guess i better up what i have in my bag, I'll be adding an extra nighty or 2 for comfort instead of pjs round my stomach, I've got in at mo 4 vests & 4 sleepsuits/pjs for baby so prob gonna add another 2 of each, I've 12 nappies in so will remove & just put a full pack in, extra knickers & there isn't really much else which will be any different to normal. Ive got a small rucksack with extra essentials in so that my mum can bring them up so i dont need to carry them all & swap for anything needing washing
