WOW. I am sorry you all have to stay so long after your sections. I am having my 1st section on the 20th and will be out on the 22nd as long as there are no complications. I was told not to expect to stay any longer.

I have packed enoug for 3 days but we live close to hospital and my husband can grab whatever I need. I am packing a whole thing of pads (like 36 count) for my stay because I know my husband will not be going to the store to grab any for me. I have an additional pack at home that he can bring if need be. Also taking an entire pack of diapers.

Also I did call the hospital and talked to the OB ward. I asked if there was anything specific that I would need differently/additionally and they said no. So maybe just pack your extra clothes and extra stuff for baby and you should be good.

Am actually happy i get to stay that long..last time my wound got infected and to kep taking trips to the doctor so by the time i get out the risk of that happening will be lowered and gives me time to bond with Kellan. I love the hospital and the staff and the hospital's maternity ward has just been renovated so everything in it's new. Am just gonna overpack some things to be safer than sorry. xx

Try not to worry about having enough! I was in hospital for 4 days before my LO was even born, and ended up being in for 2 weeks in total! My OH just brought up all the things i needed each day

Only thing is we live 2 hours from the hospital so oh will be staying with a friend during that time. I'm not gonna worry about it just gonna pack enough for each day. I was in for 4 days aswell due to a failed induction so safe to say that was a nightmare and wasn't prepared at all lol xx

Ah OK, thats slightly differnt. I'd just add in for a day or 2 extra. You can't cover all eventualitys sadly as I was in for 2 weeks and never expected that

First question... lol

Nappies are diapers right? Our hospitals here supply them for us. Same as formula, if you do not plan to breast feed, cloths to wash their bums etc... only thing we need to pack for baby is coming home clothes (or a few little outfits if we want for in there) They even send you home with formula if you are not breast feeding and some even give a bag of diapers too.

I am having a scheduled c-section so I plan to bring my usual toiletries, lots of pads, undies, jammies, slippers, nice warm robe and my pillow. For baby I am going to bring an outfit or two, blanket, mitts and that's about it other than the carseat etc.. in the car

Hi there yea nappies are diapers :-) that is good they supply all that for you. Here it differs with the hospitals. At my hospital they provide milk but we have to bring the diapers and clothes. During the day am just going to keep him in baby groes during the day and bring a going home outfiit. I've just bought little travel toiletries so saves space xx

hey hun. board hopping lol

for my last section i left out off my labour stuff. added magazines, MP3 player etc for the wait between getting to the hospital and going down to theatre. trust me that bit is a killer. and i couldnt eat or drink just in case. the only other thing i can think of i learnt from last time was to get big knickers in that sat higher over my tummy. i had my little breifs with me and oh boy did they rub!!! oh and music...here they let me pick music to play while op was happening. dressing gown too to go over your theatre gown while you toddle off down.

right i think thats it lol
