i dunno what your hospitals are like but at mine sections ur in for 4-5 days and natural delivery with no complications you can be out in hours... so it would mean a lot more things than just a few more of each?? Maybe worth asking how long you'll be in, you guys wont need any labour things tho so should be lots of room for more clothes etc! dont forget toothpaste!

My hospitals policy is 3/4 days for a 1st section, & seen as i wont be actually labouring i wont be messing any tops up so dont need extra of those. More so the baggy nighties to be comfy & not catch on belly. I've got travel size toiletries too from asda much better than the big bottles.
With a spare bag of things it saves having to cart a huge bag up at 1st, so my mum will swap , bring me fresh stuff & take away/wash the dirty stuff

Wow, you're going to be in a while! Even after an emergency section last time, i was out in a couple of days. In your case then, i'd agree 2 vests/babygros per day, especially if you are so far from hospital, like you say, not exactly convenient for your dh to pop home. I'd be taking 1 nightie a day, and a couple of packs of maternity pads, and maybe 10 pairs of knickers, just incase.

Not long chalrhow till you meet your little boy!! I'm going to the southern so not far from the RAH...with Alex i was in for an induction and that was 4 days long then they had accepted it had failed and had to go for a section so asked to go home 3 days later cuz i was sick of the hospital but wish i hadn't cuz i wasn't ready physically so am happy to stay in for the week to be honest. I'll miss my wee man too but his gran and grandpa will bring him up every other day to see and gives me some time to bond with Kellan. The 4 days will fly in tho cuz you'll be busy with the little man and if your recovery is going good you could always ask to leave on the Sunday? xx

I bought a couple of packs of the cheap knickers from asda... 3 pairs for £1... got the big 1s that come right up over ur tummy... no one is gonna see them well apart from maybe the midwifes and i think they work out just as cheap as disposable 1s... my last baby was born at the southern... this 1 will be RAH though... Ive kinda re packed my bag, not that there was much room in it for more stuff... managed to squish in some extra stuff
