I think its quite soon to have alot of these moments especially as due dates grown nearer!!!!

I sometimes lie awake just thinking, well in two weeks its my 34 week appt and then I have one at the birhting centre in two weeks after that and then the baby can arrive any time after the 37th week, so I have NO TIME!!!! aaargh!!!

But i'm sure if i keep on keeping on it will all et done.

hahahahahahahahahahahahaah! (hysterical laughter)
it's not just me then.

I have been worrying up to this point that baby would perish before birth....now it's just about sneaking into my unconscious that I am actually going to have a baby......er?!

It hit me for a second yesterday, we were pulling up in the car, I turned to my other half and said 'it's all your fault' hubby; 'huh', me....'well, you knew what having a new born in the house is like' (he's got a baby brother and sister 25 years younger than him)

he said 'it's a little late to change your mind'....I said 'I'm not, but we can just about get our shit together to look after a dog....what are we going to do witha baby!'

am I so dense that having a baby at the end of this seems really bizarre?

OH and I were waking up this morning and I started crying. Our conversation went like this:

OH: What's wrong babe?
Me: I can't believe we're having a baby!
OH: But we wanted a baby.....?
Me: I know
OH: So what's wrong then?
Me: I've spent 12yrs hoping and praying for a baby and now I'm actually going to have one!!
OH: But that's a good thing
Me: I just can't believe that we've been so lucky and that in a few weeks she'll actually be here in our arms!
OH: You silly billy, what are you like?
Me: I just can't get round my head that a child will actually be growing up calling me MUM!!
OH: Don't forget about (dsd's name)
Me: I'm not her mum though, she has a mum, I just get called Tania, this time I'll actually get called MUM! I'd given up ever getting to that point.
OH: I got you something (reaching over to the cabinet and pulling out a box) I'll show it to you now but you can't wear it till she's born.
Me: (taking box and opening it) Oh honey!! Thank you!!! You KNEW I was gonna get emotional!!!
OH: You deserve to be a mum and you'll be a great mum, I'm proud of you!

Big hugs!!!

Guess what was in the box????

A gold necklace that says MUM on it!! lol

I am right there with all of you. Up to this point, I was mostly excited. Now it is starting to set in that in less than a month I will have a lil person who depends on me for everything.

Also, I am the type of person who likes to have EVERYTHING planned out in advance. I am terrified of the unknown. So, not knowing when the baby will come and having only a small amount of knowledge of what to expect is so scary to me.

I'm in complete denial, still not even totally convinced I'm pregnant - must be wind!! She'll be here and I'll be looking for her real mum to hand her back!! I've no idea what I'm going to do and I'm on my own so no-one to hand her too while I go into another room to have a panic attack!
Just have to hope for the best I guess!

My mum said that when she had me and I was handed over, the first thing she thought was "Is she really mine", and my mother is painfully maternal!

The only thing that I can think that will happen to me is that I'll be handed her, and say "Very nice, now give her to a grown-up who knows what to do with it!". Either that or "That's a very bald kitten - I wanted a ginger fluffy one"

Oh, we're screwed...
