I'm Currently Feeling: | How Much Movement Can You Feel? Etc.. Good Evening Ladies,
I have a few questions you might be able to help with..
I will be 30 weeks this coming Sunday and am so worried about everything. I am sure that it is mostly unfounded but I am a born worrier.
How frequently do you feel you little one moving about and how long does it last? Can you still confuse wind with baby moving about at this stage?
Do any of you get strange shooting/stabbing pains for no apparent reason? I am sure it is just more ligaments stretching etc.
Does your midwife listen to baby's heartbeat at your antenatal checks?
I see my midwife every 3 weeks at the moment and she is a lovely lady but hasn't listened for heartbeat at all and doesn't even feel my tummy. I don't want to say anything yet in case it is too early and I know all midwives are different. I suppose I just want loads of reassurance that everything is OK and I know a shouldn't pay too much attention to friends advice/birth stories as it tends to panic me a bit.
We were going to have a 3D scan but money is a bit too tight so we have decided to wait to meet our little girl face to face in May.
Sorry for waffling on and thanks for listening.

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm not in my 3rd trimester yet but Grace likes to make herself known. She often kicks so much it hurts and makes me jump. In the last week or 2 she's been kicking so hard I can see it as well as feel it lol I occasionally mistake wind for kicks and vice versa though |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I feel kicks/movement all day pretty much, and at this point I dont confuse wind with her movements, because she is quite pronounced with her movements. My doctor checks the heartbeat at every appointment, and has since like 12 weeks. I'm not sure why they wouldn't be checking it. You should ask to give yourself peace of mind. All doctors are different tho, so that might just be there practice. Its hard not to worry huh? |

I'm Currently Feeling: | My midwife checks how big my belly has gotten with a measuring tape and i hear the heart beat at every appointment. I dont know why yours shouldnt be doing this but i would just ask and see what they say?
I feel my baby move alot, very active. Its getting to the stage where its more rolling etc rather then full force kicks latley due top lack of room!
I have had asome sharp pains , thought it was contractions on one point, but i notice when im sitting in a funny poistion or im picking something up in the wrong way. I think its all normal
I wouldnt stress , but i would ask your midwife why she hasnt been checking babys heart beat etc |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I'm still in my 2nd trimester (almost 26 weeks) and I feel LO at least every few hours or so for about a half hour to an hour at a time. I can tell the difference between gas and baby for sure now as he has a tendency to kick high and hard And if I've been sitting or standing too long, if I get up too quick or move too fast I get some pretty awful shooting pains. They check babys heartbeat at every appointment for me, but like you said all midwife's and doctors are different.
Try not to worry too much, everything is probably perfectly normal, every pregnancy is different |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I feel LO every early morning and everynight before falling asleep. Now it's more like stretching movements and it feels very boney. He also has hick-up quite often too. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Like Kay and missjess, I'm feeling more rolling/stretching movements. Still feeling kicks every now and then mind you. They're a lot more painful now.
If you're worried, talk to your midwife. She's there to serve you, not the other way round. And if you're not happy with her then request a change of midwife. My midwives (different ones each visit!) have listened to the heartbeat, felt position of baby and done fundal measurements at every visit since 25 weeks... that's 3 times. I really would ask your midwife to at least let you hear the heartbeat. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I used to feel movement all the time but i've noticed lately it's getting less and less everyday. I'm assuming it is due to the fact that he is basically out of room though i am going to bring it up to my doctor on thursday and see what they think.
On a side note... as i'm typing this he wiggled and juggled around... i think he likes making a liar out of me already |
