If your left arm feels numb at all, you need to get that seen to asap. I'd call NHS direct and see what they say, or try antenatal triage. They'll advise you on the best course of action.

Palpitations are common during pregnancy, but when it's starting to affect your left arm it's worth getting it checked out as soon as you can. Personally, I'd call now.

Hi, as said heart palpitations are common in pregnancy as well as an increase in normal heart rate of 10-15%, its normaly harmless and just all the extra blood pumping round. But some heart probs and heart arrythmias can also show up cos of the extra work and all the hormones so i would def go and get it checked asap especially if its affecting your arm. Hoping you already have, dont worry though :-) as its prob nothing.

Hi

Hope your ok, I get this occasionally when I go to bed. It scared me the first time but I kept calm and it went as soon as it came.

I mentioned it to the midwife who said that it is common as long as it isn't all the time, she said to mention it to my normal midwife and made sure I had the emergency numbers just incase.

I think as the other ladies said it can be common but it's best to get checked out

xx
