Thumbs down

I'M SO ITCHY!! It's Driving Me NUTS!

I have been getting stretch marks like crazy this last few weeks/ this last month. I put my lotion on 100... million times a day to try and sooth the itching but it doesn't help!! I literally am itching myself raw!! The skin on my stomach gets so red that you cannot even see the stretch marks anymore!
It even itches RIGHT NOW!
I didn't realize when you get stretch marks they itch!!
I dont really mind the stretch marks so much, I knew they would catch up to me eventually (and boy DID THEY!!). I just want it to stop ITCHING!!
*claws at stomach*
Then when it's not itching it hurts because of the stretching!
How is it still stretching? I've been losing weight!!??
Am I the only one clawing myself to death? Anyone else tired of the itchiness?

You may be losing weight but baby is still growing......so you are going to grow too.

Yep itching and stretch marks go hand in hand, all you can do it have baths, showers to calm it down and keep applying cream really hun! x

I've been getting quite itchy at times too and I find what I'm wearing makes a big difference now. It all has to be cotton and loose fitting.

I did read something about if you're itching badly all over though that you should call a doctor or midwife as it can be a sign of a liver problem. If it's just where your stretch marks are though then I don't think it's a problem.... just very uncomfortable.

If other parts of your body start itching, legs, hands, feet then go to the docs for a blood test!

My s.marks itched like mad too, I got the the point where I made myself bleed! I asked my midwife what to do and she said the best thing would be aqueous cream (keep it in the fridge if poss) as it will keep tummy moisturised! When I asked boots they said calomine lotion but when it drys it goes itchy! I also dabbed my tum with a cold flannel just before bed!

Its horrible being itchy, but will be worth it
